As the province of Ontario in Canada moved back into a modified step two of its reopening plan, Casino Rama and other casinos in the province had to shut down for three weeks.

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment, which owns Casino Rama and other casinos in the province, sent a memo to their staff yesterday about the impending closure.

“In response to the Ontario provincial government announcing a modified step two, all of our Ontario operations will be temporarily suspended, effective Wednesday, January 5,” notes the memo.
