The New South Wales government’s Independent Panel on Gaming Reform has issued invitations to participate in a cashless gaming trial to venues and technology providers.
The panel has set out minimum requirements to take part in the trial, which aims to consider harm minimisation protections, anti-money laundering protections and data security and privacy protections, as well as specific requirements for venues.
Once the trial has concluded, the panel will review its findings and make recommendations for government on the topics of infrastructure investments, reducing gambling harm, money laundering and the impact on employment and industry.
The final deadline for applications is October 13, 2023.
