Merkur UK completes G4 safer gambling audits

Following confirmation from online division Blueprint Gaming, all brands within the Merkur UK group have now completed the audit of Responsible Gambling practices and procedures undertaken by Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4).

Overseen by responsible gambling expert Pieter Remmers who founded the independent G4 accreditation and certification body, Blueprint Gaming joins sister brands Blueprint Operations, Regal Gaming Technologies, Merkur Slots and Merkur Bingo.

“When we launched our 360 Safer Gambling Program, I went on the record to state that our overarching aim was to set the Gold Standard for safer gambling in our sector,” said general manager of Merkur UK, Sascha Blodau. “I am delighted at the progress that’s been made across the entire UK business which also includes Blueprint Gaming, our online division.

“Safer gambling is not transactional it’s a culture and we were committed to instilling and living that culture in everything that everyone undertakes across the entire Merkur UK family including team members who are not consumer-facing.

“It is totally fitting that we are announcing the successful audit during the UK’s Safer Gambling Week which does so much to raise awareness of safer gambling.

“Our commitment is to sustain that awareness and engagement with players every week of the year and to provide our consumer-facing colleagues with the tools, the training and the confidence to ensure that gambling entertainment remains safe, secure and enjoyable for their customers. Working with the experts at G4 is another example of what we are doing as a business to identify and protect the very small percentage of customers who may experience problems.”
