Kambi will help open the first tribal sportsbook in the US state of Kansas through a partnership with Prairie Band Casino & Resort.

The company, located close to Topeka, was granted approval to open a retail betting facility at the casino on tribal land.

The sportsbook will add to the 35,000 sq.ft of casino space with 10 kiosks and four bar top terminals featuring Kambi’s Bet Builder product.

Kristian Nylén, Kambi CEO and co-founder, said the collaboration will create a “one-of-a-kind experience” for Prairie Band Casino & Resort’s current customers while also “attracting a whole new demographic.”

Chris Garrow, director of gaming for Prairie Band Casino & Resort, added: “We are excited to launch our retail sportsbook as another amenity for our guests to ‘play your way.’ This will be the first true locals’ sportsbook in Kansas.”
