There is again speculation in the international gaming community that the ICE London show could move to Spain in 2025.

Organisers Clarion Gaming confirmed to InterGame this week that it is committed to its vast stakeholder community and that the future location of ICE London could be up for review.

But Clarion Gaming managing director Stuart Hunter said: “This is very early days. We have not had a full-scale ICE show for three years and all of our attention now is on February ’23.

“We said in a recent podcast that we are looking at options and indeed that process will continue, but right now our focus must be on providing our industry with the platform it needs for the coming year.”

He added: “The stage is set now for a brilliant ICE London in February. We have all of the major European producers back on the floor, so there will be a brilliant spectacle at ExCeL in February. What happens beyond that will remain open to conjecture while we go through the necessary exploration and diligence.”

He confirmed that the exhaustive process is ongoing and that any change to its historical home of London would be from 2025 onwards, allowing enough time for the significant operational planning that would come with relocating the world’s largest gaming exhibition.

The rumours switch between Barcelona and Madrid as potential host cities and Hunter, when approached by InterGame, said that both locations are part of a “shortlist of considerations.”
