The gross spend for advertising in traditional media by advertising companies in Sweden fell to SEK 3.4bn in 2022.


Against the previous year’s figures, this is a decrease of 15 per cent or SEK 600 million.

30 per cent of this figure’s total comes from casinos, with a further 28 per cent advertising non-horse-race betting. Lotteries and number games came third with 26 per cent, horse race betting came in at 12 per cent, and bingo making up another 4 per cent.

The figure shows game advertising in traditional media such as print, television, radio and outdoor advertising, although certain digital media channels are also included.
