G2E Asia opened its doors at the Marina Bay Sands yesterday, returning for the first time in three years and for the first time in Singapore.


The show as last held in May of 2019 at The Venetian Macau. Inside Asian Gaming reported this morning that the first day opened with a keynote speech by MGM Resorts’ president of global development, Ed Bowers.

The opening ceremony was followed by a networking lunch to kick off a major conference programme. There were three live-streamed digital gkuided tours in the programme, the first of which is today, touring the show floor.

Another notable event from today will be a panel session chaired by Daesik Han, CEO of Hann Philippines. He will be joined by Walt Power, CEO at The Grand Ho Tram Resort and Casino and Chen Si, COO of Korea’s Inspire Entertainment Resort. They will discuss the future of integrated resorts in Asia.

Other reports from the show, which has 70 exhibitors and which will run until tomorrow evening, said that the show has a new Smart IR and Innovation Zone, where new products and solutions are being demonstrated, plus an Esports Connect Asia Regulatory Workshop that is targeting the regulatory and legal fields.
