The abandoned plans for a mega resort in the Spanish capital Madrid may be resurrected.
The US property developer Cordish Companies has submitted plans to build a mega-casino in the Spanish capital, despite similar proposals having been rejected previously.
The planning authorities are reported to be examining the plans for a EuroVegas that would include a casino, hotels and restaurants and other leisure businesses.
Cordish has 134 hectares of land in place ready for the venture. According to the Spanish press, the plans seek to build four hotels in the Ayuso region with over 2,000 rooms, a theatre, cinema complex, offices and many green areas.
