Increased social distancing and casinos cutting staffing costs are leading to electronic table game growth in the US and Canada, Todd Eilers says in the Eilers-Fantini Electronic Table Game Database.
The number of tables is expected to grow 6.3 per cent to 16,920 in the fourth quarter from the third, he said. The fourth quarter estimate is up from his prior forecast of 16,500 games.
Interblock is the market share leader with 9,084 units installed, or 57.1 per cent at the end of the third quarter. Scientific Games ranks second at 2,813 games or 17.7 per cent and IGT third with 1,657 games or 10.4 per cent.
Interblock games lead all others in theoretical win, with roulette accounting for 22.1 per cent of theoretical win, baccarat with 14.1 per cent and the ETG multigame accounting for 12.4 per cent. The database tracks 280 casinos operating 228,923 slots and 7,618 game themes.
