An agreement with the local unions by Bally’s Corporation means that its takeover of the Tropicana Las Vegas will mean employees can choose for themselves whether they join a union.
The “labour neutrality agreement” between the operator and the largest union, the International Union of Operating Engineers, means freedom of choice for staff at the newly-acquired location.
Board chairman at Bally’s, Soo Kim, said: “Bally’s employees are our most valuable asset and we have worked hard to ensure that they maintain an unimpeded right to select their representation.”
Bally’s now owns and operates 15 casinos in 10 states, with 15,000 slots, 500 table games and 5,300 hotel rooms.
