A new casino-resort is set to be built on tribal lands in Texas.

The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas has revealed plans for the new property on its lands, which Tribal Council Chairman Ricky Sylestine said would “provide significant economic benefits for those living and working in the region” and “become a vibrant destination for visitors.”

The resort could offer a casino floor, hotel accommodation and a range of dining and entertainment options, although plans have yet to be set in stone.

Architectural firm FKK.R has been assigned to design the new resort.

“The Tribe is confident the firm will create a truly exceptional destination,” it said.
