Starlight Casino New Westminster opens new poker room

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment has opened a brand new poker room at the Starlight Casino New Westminster in British Columbia, Canada.

Guests to the venue will find “no limit” and “limit’ stakes at varying levels, seven flat screen TVs and an exclusive menu with a daily breakfast special at the new four-table poker room located right off the main casino.

A charity poker tournament was held to celebrate the expansion, with notable figures playing in support of a charity of their own choice. Patrick Johnstone, mayor of New Westminster, Matt Jarvis, former professional poker player and Steve Deakin, Canada’s number one ranked pickleball player joined other athletes, entertainers and government officials for a game of skill, strategy and luck.

We are also the only casino in the province that now offers $2-3 No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em, as well as single blind $5 Limit Omaha. For the first time ever, poker enthusiasts in British Columbia have access to these games.”
