Discussions have been held in Spain about the country’s gambling habits over the past year.


The Responsible Gaming Advisory Council met at the General Directorate of Gambling Regulation’s headquarters on Thursday.

The meeting centred on the Study of the Prevalence of Gambling in the General Population in Spain 2022-2023, which was designed by members of the Scientific Section of the Responsible Gaming Advisory Council.

A total of 20,000 surveys were carried out for the report, with data collected between October 18 last year and June 4 through personal interviews.

The Spanish regulator is looking to find out more about the percentage of the population that participates in games of chance as well as the behaviour and characteristics of those gaming.
