Group Partouche has recorded improved half-year gross gaming revenue of €341m, up 17.6 per cent year-on-year, leading to confidence about an upcoming partnership with Betsson Group.
The group said the fact that turnover also climbed 15.2 per cent to €215.6m confirmed “the return to normal activity” after the final coronavirus-related health measures were lifted in Switzerland and France in February and March 2022.
EBITDA for Group Partouche between November 2022 and April 2023 was up 24.6 per cent to €42.7m, compared to €34.2m a year ago. The current operating income is €19.3m, double the €9.7m posted a year earlier.
It added that improved performance at the Pasino of Aix-en-Provence and the “excellent” performance of online gaming in Switzerland “make the group confident” of enhancing its Middelkerke casino integrated casino in July 2022, from which the group plans to launch an online gaming activity in partnership with Betsson.
The partnership will involve Group Partouche’s offline casino licence in Belgium being extended to an online casino licence and Betsson and Group Partouche want to launch the online casino offering in Belgium this year.
