Grosvenor Casinos has set up a croupier training school at its Dundee, Scotland, location.

Seven aspiring casino dealers, aged between 18 and 38, have been put through their paces at a five-week gaming academy. The course teaches them how to host popular games such as blackjack, poker and roulette.

The successful candidates were tutored on the times tables up to 35 and received tips and tricks on how to improve their finger dexterity for shuffling cards as well a collecting and gathering bets and chips.

They learned casino terminology, the difference between odds and evens, as well as the correct way to spin the roulette ball. The trainees now have a full house of skills on how best to manage the fast-paced nature of bets placed by guests when visiting a casino.
