Newspapers in the UK are now suggesting that the government’s White Paper on fresh potential gambling regulations will be issued towards the end of June.

Speculation suggests that it will be dominated by proposals to further regulate the online business, notably to increase taxation.

A gambling ombudsman is also popularly predicted, as well as curbs on sports advertising, but a mandatory levy for all forms of gambling operation is the most predicted outcome.

The BBC was forecasting that a ban on gambling sponsors’ logos would be imposed on football team shirts. Half of the Premier League clubs have betting company logos on their jerseys.
