MGM Resorts will reopen its Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey, US, on July 6, following the announcement that the city’s casinos can resume operations next month.



The Borgata was closed several weeks ago in face of the Covid-19 pandemic and now the hotel is planning an invitation-only reopening celebration event.

 A high level of security and health protocols have been put into place, including employee screening, temperature checks and training, the wearing of face masks for guests who will also face screening as they enter

The casino has 2,000 rooms, 161,000 square feet of gaming, 189 tables, 2,994 slots, poker room, sports book, and shops and restaurants.

MGM also announced the reopening of its National Harbor Casino in Maryland on June 29. The location will have similar intensive security and health precautions. It has a two-level casino with 160,000 square feet of space for slots, table games and poker.
