The long construction process is finally over and Yaamava’ Resort & Casino is ready to welcome guests to its brand-new hotel tower. The property will open officially on December 13, but only offer stays to invited guests at first. The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians own and operate the casino property.

The resort, formerly known as San Manuel Casino, has been working on the 17-story hotel for many years. The property includes 432 guest rooms, including 127 suites. A spa and pool area was also included in the construction.

Already Booked Up

The public has been waiting for quite some time to stay at the property and it shows. The hotel already has zero availability up until April of next year. The hotel is also connected to Club Serrano. When checking out the Book Now section of the site, the casino recommends that everyone sign up for the club to earn resort offers and promotions in the future.

The price of a hotel stay starts at $600 during the week and appears to cost from $700 to $900 on the weekends. Suites are a little more expensive, with a price tag of $800 during the week and $1,000 on the weekends.

The California hotel is part of a large expansion project that started at the casino in July 2018. After less than two years, the COVID-19 pandemic began, which led to a delay in construction. The first phase of development was able to open this year, during the summer months. This phase included a gaming space, high-limit rooms, bars, shops, and a café.

Additional changes to the property include Pines Modern Steakhouse moving to the first floor. The restaurant includes a new menu. For the final phase of the resort, an entertainment venue is in the works, with 2,800 seats. The space is expected to open sometime early next year.

Name Change

The former San Manuel Casino, now known as Yaamava’ Resort and Casino, made the name change in September. The rebranding process was part of the expansion project and was set to take place by the time the hotel opened for business. The new name was selected as a way to enhance the expansion process.

The term Yaamava’ comes from the Serrano language meaning ‘spring, a time for growth and rebirth’. With the name change, the property will be able to start a new beginning, to match the new building and endeavors, according to Afsi Bird, the Hotel Operations Vice-President of the tribe.
