Major poker action is set for 888poker this February as the XL Blizzard will be back in full force, offering a whopping 34 tournament events. The festival will run from February 6th to the 16th, with over $1.4 million in guaranteed prizes up for grabs.

XL Blizzard Details:

Amateurs and pro poker players will be able to compete in the XL Blizzard, as the operator has made the festival quite affordable. Tournament buy-ins will start at $5.50 and reach up to $320. Players will also have access to a ton of satellites and freerolls, earning seats to events at a fraction of a cost, or potentially nothing.

Kicking off the schedule is the XL Blizzard #1, the $50,000 Opening Event. This tournament has a $109 buy-in, 30,000 in starting chips and blind levels increasing every 15 minutes. Players can access three re-entries during the late registration period.

Event #2 offers a $20,000 Mini Opening event with a $16.5 buy-in while Event #3 is a $20,000 Late Opening event with a $55 buy-in. Each of these tournaments are quite affordable and offer great value for every type of player.

According to the operator…

The XL Blizzard will be offering qualifiers for the $500,000 Main Event. The qualifiers will take place very day until February 15th. The top 15 players of the qualifier will be given a $250 seat to the Main Event.

The Main Event at 888poker will take place on the 16th, offering 50,000 in chips and blind levels increasing every 20 minutes. Players have the opportunity to re-enter the event three times during the five hour late-registration time frame.

High Roller:

The XL Blizzard will also include a High Roller option, via Event #16. This poker tournament has a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and has the largest buy-in during the festival at $320. The event has 15 minute blind levels and three re-entries per player during the late-registration period.
