For about a month now, online poker players have been visiting GGPoker to take part in the WSOP Online Series. There is still plenty of action to go, with the Main Event kicking off last night. The Main Event is a huge affair, with the tournament featuring $25 million in total prize money guaranteed!

Details of the Main Event:

The WSOP Online Series Main Event will have 22 starting flights, providing plenty of opportunities for players to take part in the online poker tournament. However, there are only three tries per player. This is important to note.

With each starting flight, there will be 15 levels until the field is cut to Day 2. All flights will have 30-minute levels except for Flight U and V. These two flights will have 20-minute levels. GGPoker will provide late registration for 10 levels. This will equal 300 minutes in A through T and 200 minutes in U & V.

Players have through August 23 to compete in a daily starting flight. A second will be added to each day starting on the 24th and running through the 29th. On the 30th, the final two flights take place before Day 2 begins later in the evening.

Day 2:

When Day 2 begins, it will play down to the final 40. This final group will come back online a few days later, on September 5. This group will earn the largest portion of the prizes from the $25 million in guaranteed funds.

Top online poker players are already taking part in the event with poker pro Daniel Negreanu, a GGPoker ambassador, stating he will begin today. Fans interested in watching the WSOP Online Series Main Event action can catch Negreanu as he plays via his streaming channels.
