The 53rd annual World Series of Poker is set for Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas from May 31-July 19, it has been announced by Caesars Entertainment.

Actor, comedian and card player Vince Vaughn is named as the official master of ceremonies for the event. The WSOP has for 17 years been operated at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas and now moves to new locations.

The competition is the richest gaming event in the world, having awarded more than $3.29bn in prize money. In 2019 it attracted 187,298 contestants from 118 countries to the Rio and gave away over $293m in prize money.
