Casinos in the US are now getting back to business, although the process is obviously going to be a gradual one.

On Friday, the state of Louisiana will begin the first phase of reopening. Casinos, along with gyms, barber shops, hair salons and bars, will open with 25 per cent capacity.

In Oklahoma 250 people stood in line to get into the Thunderbird Casino, an Indian gaming venue, this week when it reopened. They had temperature testing at the door, wore masks and sat at slots six feet apart.

In Las Vegas the Venetian and Palazzo will reopen next month, but both will continue to pay staff salaries in the meantime. Both are Sands properties.

In Arizona the tribal casino Harrah’s Ak-Chin reopens tomorrow, following approval by the tribal council.
