From today, most of the UK is in lockdown, placing what has been described as “an unbearable strain” on the country’s casino industry.
Much of England has now moved to Tier 4, the highest level of lockdown, and in all four of the UK countries casinos and amusement arcades and many single-site locations, notably pubs, are closed or in the case of food outlets available only for takeaways.
All sectors are now lobbying for additional support from the UK government and pressing for clarity around any criteria for reopening.
