A lucky couple has scooped £1 million some days after marking their first wedding anniversary on Sunday. Martin Brandist, aged 54 and Debbie Brandist, 48, were the lucky winners of the Lotto dip. The couple, from Nuneaton, UK, plan on splashing out on a dream holiday home in the Canaries, particularly Lanzarote.
The lucky numbers used by the couple comprised various house numbers and special birthdays. These numbers matched the five main numbers, and one number for the bonus ball held on 18th September. Mr. Brandist said he’d been participating in the lottery for 25 years using the same combination of numbers.
The news of the winning lighted the couple to a celebratory mood as they danced around in their bedroom. Mr. Brandist said he went into the bedroom to ask Debbie to scan the ticket using her phone. To their surprise, the ticket was also coupled up with a congratulatory message. The two then publicly announced their win. The couple who are parents to three grown kids indicated that they would be ushering the New Year 2020 in style with an adventurous trip to Disneyland, Paris.
For sure, the win has already started to change the life of the family, as Mr. Brandist has already joined the Volkswagen league. This is after replacing his old Toyota Yaris with a Volkswagen T-Roc SUV. Debbie, on the other hand, has been through numerous shopping trips.
