UK betting shop operator Flutter, owned by Paddy Power, has reported that revenue at its chain of betting shops has risen higher than in pre-pandemic days.


The shops were closed during the lockdown periods, only reopening in June, but Flutter has reported that revenues were running at seven perc ent higher than those before the lockdown. There was also strong growth in online gambling as people worked from home.

Flutter reported that global revenue rose 28 per cent to £3bn as its average number of gamblers rose by 40 per cent to more than 7.5 million.
