Reversing the current international trend, the smoking ban in casinos in some areas of Michigan, US, has been dropped.
Smoking indoors is now allowed at the MGM Grand Detroit and the Hollywood Casino at Greektown, reports the Detroit Free Press.
The temporary ban was imposed during the pandemic by the Michigan Gaming Board because smokers had to remove their masks to smoke, but was reinforced when the casinos opened again in July.
But now at those two casinos smoking will be permitted indoors once again, but in designated areas.
