Twin River has acquired the Eldorado Shreveport Resort and Casinos in the US state of Louisiana and the MontBleu Resort Casino in Nevada for $155m in cash from Eldorado Resorts.

In order to complete the agreement, Eldorado terminated its agreements to sell the venues to Maverick Gaming. The deal with Twin River was conditional upon the conclusion of the Caesars transaction. The purchase of the two venues is set to close early in 2021.

Tom Reeg, CEO of Eldorado, commented: “The agreement to divest Shreveport and MontBleu to Twin River Worldwide Holdings is consistent with our continued focus on closing the Caesars transaction in the first half of 2020.”
