Australia’s largest gambling operator, Tabcorp, says that GGR was up 18.7 per cent in the first quarter of its current financial year to the end of September.

The group had demerged from its lottery business in June and the results showed that the wagering and media segment of the business had risen 14.2 per cent over the same quarter of last year.

Gaming services revenue was up 91.7 per cent, but the company noted that the previous comparative quarter was impacted by the pandemic.

The highlight was the new betting app, permitting customers to place bets nine seconds faster than its predecessor.
