Gaming companies with Swedish bookmakers’ licences had sales of SEK5.9bn in the first quarter of 2020.



The figures are preliminary and are largely based on data from the Swedish Tax Agency on tax determined.

At the end of the quarter, more than 50,500 people were banned from gambling via Spelpaus.se. This is an increase of five per cent compared to the previous quarter. By the beginning of May 2020, the number had increased to just over 51,700.

A total of 98 companies had active licences on the Swedish market in May 2020 and 71 of those companies were licensed for online betting and/or commercial gaming.
