With casinos and card rooms shut down around the world, live poker event organizers are getting creative. Many are moving events online, allowing players to still take part in the safety of home. The latest to do so is the Super High Roller Bowl. Organizers announced this week that the event was moving online during the pandemic. The high stakes event will now take place on partypoker as part of a 28-tournament series starting on May 23rd. The series will feature $20 million in guaranteed prizes money and $3,000,000 will be up for grabs during the Super High Roller Bowl. To participate, players will have to put up a $100,000 buy-in.

Moving Online:

The Bowl moves online after the Poker Masters saw great success with a similar move. It offered a large series of poker events from March 12th to the 26th, with $16.5 million in guaranteed prize money. Players logged on in high numbers, pushing the prize money up to over $35 million. Because Masters was so successful online, organizers realized that the Bowl could be as well.

Going online helps the Super High Roller Bowl to continue offering quality content for players. The option first began back in 2015 and has since provided a nice high roller option on the live poker circuit.
