Sun shines on South African casinos

South Africa’s Sun International is displaying a strong upward growth in the latest performance figures.

A Capital Markets Day, hosted by the group, designed to outline to investors, analysts and stakeholders its future strategy, revealed interim performance figures, reports Gaming for Africa.

With an improvement in South African trading conditions, the Sun International venues have shown a sharp improvement since the year-end results were released.

The financial performance for the first five months to the end of May showed revenues up 34 per cent with adjusted EBITDA up over 80 per cent.

Income for the period was 92 per cent of that for the comparable period of 2019. This revealed that the group has returned to a more normalised trading environment.
