Businesses across the state of Washington are ready to re-open amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Governor Jay Inslee wants to take a phased approach, in an attempt to slow any new outbreaks of the virus. However, some businesses are not going to wait for their phase to roll around. Instead, they will reopen. The Angel of the Winds Casino Resort located in the North Sound is ready to get started now.
Ready to Open:
The Angel of the Winds Casino is owned by the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians. According to management, the safety of the employees and guests is a number one priority. After the Washington casino shut down due to the virus, the venue had to furlough hundreds of employees. The lack of business affected how the tribe funds their community.
The tribe plans to reopen and use the same techniques that grocery stores and other businesses are using. When it does reopen, the casino will also be the first casino in the state to ban smoking. The plan is reopen next week, but not at full capacity.

Employees and customers of the casino will be required to wear masks. Sanitizing stations will be offered on the casino floor. Games will be spaced at a further distance from each other to ensure players are not close. The casino should be up and running by the 11th.
The Emerald Queen Casino was supposed to be open already but the leaders of the Puyallup Tribe of Indian’s said that they were ready to get back to business as they were losing revenues that helped their community. However, they have not reopened at this time.
Casinos across various jurisdictions of the US are contemplating how to reopen at this time. So far, there is no casino currently back in operation.
