The crypto-friendly online casino and sportsbetting domain at Stake.com has announced that Grammy Award-winning rapper Drake (pictured) gave away $1 million in Bitcoin last night as part of an inaugural live-stream collaboration.

The United Kingdom-licensed site used an official press release published by European Gaming Media and Events to detail that the event broadcast over the Twitch platform was held some twelve weeks after it inked a ground-breaking marketing arrangement with the influential musician. The domain stated that the 35-year-old Canadian shared action ‘across a number of games’ and even managed to win $18 million in cryptocurrency via a roulette win using his ‘lucky number eleven’.

Gratuitous give-aways:

As part of last night’s live-stream event with Drake and Stake.com explained that it had randomly selected viewers to receive up to $75,000 in Bitcoin with the Toronto-born star having subsequently called winners all over the globe including those from as far afield as Argentina, Jordan, India and Brazil. The domain declared that viewers in Canada and Mexico also featured on the winners list while the famous host had earlier placed ‘a number of large sports wagers on the site’ that encompassed a parlay victory for a $2.6 million pay-day.

“The night ended well for Drake as the Golden State Warriors secured the Western Conference to net the Toronto native a million dollars in winnings after he bet $200,000 on Steve Kerr’s team at four-to-one odds. Though it wasn’t the artist’s best night on the tables, losing $20 million. However, he was able to bring a smile to a number of fans.”

Subsequent sequels:

Stake.com moreover confirmed that it intends to stream more live events with Drake over the Twitch platform in the very near future while awarding viewers with similarly-alluring prizes. The $20 million loss isn’t likely to bother the man born Aubrey Drake Graham in the Forest Hill neighborhood of Canada’s largest city in 1986 as Forbes earlier estimated that he earned $49 million in 2020 alone from a string sponsorship alliances, record deals and commercial collaborations to take his estimated personal fortune up to approximately $200 million.

Glaring gamble:

Drake furthermore made news two weeks ago when he placed a $230,000 wager on Charles Leclerc from the Scuderia Ferrari racing team to win the 2022 edition of the Spanish Grand Prix. But this bet ultimately proved fruitless as the 24-year-old Formula One driver who had qualified in pole position retired due to power unit issues after only 27 of the event’s 66 laps.
