The sale of slot machines globally fell sharply in the first quarter of this year as operators conserved their financial resources in face of the Covid-19 pandemic.



Research has shown that sales internationally fell by 42 per cent to 21,796 in the quarter.

In North America sales fell even more, by 47 per cent to 11,400 while in the rest of the world the fall was 33 per cent to 10,400. The largest supplier in the period was Aristocrat with sales of 6,006 units, or 28 per cent of the market.
