A total of seven hotels in Macau are known to have suspended operations as a result of sharply lower visitation and countermeasures against the Wuhan coronavirus.

The seven hotels are the Four Seasons Hotel, St Regis Macao, Conrad Macao, Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16, the Grand Harbour Hotel, Legend Palace Hotel and Rocks Hotel. The total capacity is in the range of 2,300 rooms.

Macau authorities ordered casino gaming operations at all 41 casinos to cease for a 15-day period lasting until February 20, with a possible extension depending on the severity and duration of the coronavirus outbreak.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Macau has confirmed cases of coronavirus infection, seven visitors from Hubei province and three from Macanese, but there have been no new cases reported over the weekend.
