The Sazka Entertainment-controlled Allwyn brand has acquired a stake in sports betting operator Kaizen Gaming from Greek operator OPAP.

The deal is restricted to Kaizen Gaming’s activities outside of Greece and Cyprus, emphasises a press release from Sazka issued yesterday.

The price is €50m up front, followed by performance-based earnout payments.

The release stated: “The announced transaction reflects Allwyn’s international growth strategy and OPAP’s strategic focus on maintaining and strengthening its leading position in the Greek and Cypriot gaming markets.”
