In the American state of Illinois and Rivers Casino Des Plaines has announced that it is looking to hire as many as 400 additional employees in advance of premiering a new 78,000 sq ft extension in the spring.

Opened in July of 2011, the venue co-owned by Rush Street Gaming and Churchill Downs Incorporated used an official Wednesday press release to detail that the first floor of this coming $87 million expansion is due to house a new poker room alongside an expanded casino floor featuring 439 more slots and 260 extra gaming tables. The Cook County property explained that this addition will see it become the first local enterprise to feature the Midwestern state’s refreshed maximum of 2,000 total gambling positions and have 26 such spots available for future allocation.
