In the early hours of yesterday, Hurricane Laura hit the US state of Louisiana and one of the damaging outcomes was a riverboat casino being blown into the pillars supporting the Interstate 10 bridge at Lake Charles.

The riverboat, owned by Isle of Capri, broke from its moorings and was stuck against the bridge.

In the event there was only a limited amount of damage, said online gaming news stream CDC Gaming Reports, and the riverboat was soon hauled back into position and remoored.
