Germany’s Zeal Network, the lottery specialist, has reported a much improved market environment in the first quarter of 2022.
The company said it was able to increase its billings and revenue in the quarter. The Germany lottery LOTTO 6aus49 reached the €45m mark, triggering a mandatory payout twice, while in 2021 there were none.
Billings increased by 11 per cent to €18.1bn and revenue was also up 11 per cent to €25.1m.
The company invested strongly in the development of its customer base and gained 154,000 new players. Zeal plans to launch new lottery products this year, including online games based on the permit for virtual slots it has applied for.
