Pragmatic Play’s new lower volatility online slot, Chicken Chase, “testament” to diversity of portfolio

We’re back on the farm in Pragmatic Play‘s latest online slot title, Chicken Chase, where the sun is going down in a tranquil country setting, but that serene scene won’t last for long as the barnyard poultry are in very real danger of becoming a late-night snack for a hungry wolf on the prowl.

Played across a 5×3 reel set, this low volatility video slot has a theoretical RTP of 96.48 percent and 10 fixed paylines on which winning combinations of at least three-of-a-kind pay from the leftmost reel to the right on adjacent reels.

There are a total of 10 symbols including bars, strawberries, broccoli, eggplant, and yellow peppers as the lower pays, at 5-10 times the stake for five-of-a-kind. Chickens, turkeys, and roosters are the game’s trio of premium symbols and are worth 30-80 times the bet for five-of-a-kind. Our feathered friends definitely want to stay clear of the blue wolf, but players will want to see them pop up on the reels as they are wild. They appear on all reels and substitute for all regular symbols, and pay 50x, 100x and 200x for landing three, four or five, respectively.

Unique Spin & Hold Feature:

Spins are split into two phases. The initial spin is a traditional one, which upon completion is followed by a unique hold feature, where players are able to choose for themselves which reels to hold or they can let the game randomly pick the reel it feels are best to hold. Either way, these respins are free and only the un-held reels are in play. Players can choose to deselect any of the reels chosen by the game.

Bonus Feature:

Triggering the bonus feature occurs when three Golden Bonus Eggs land. If you’re lucky enough and patient enough and that happens, you’ll select from four individual chickens, each of which provides a different instant prize.

The size of the prize depends on the number of Bonus Eggs that originally landed and unlocked the bonus round. If the feature was triggered with 3 bonus symbols, the prize could be 2x, 4x, 12x, or 50x the bet; if the feature was triggered with 4 bonus symbols, the prize could be 4x, 8x, 24x, 100x the bet; and finally, if the feature was triggered with 5 bonus symbols, the instant prize could be 6x, 12x, 36x, 150x the bet.

Diverse portfolio:

Yossi Barzely, Chief Business Development Officer for Pragmatic Play, explains in a recent press release, that their ability to deliver a lower volatility release like Chicken Chase™ “is a testament” to the diversity of their portfolio.

“Enabling users to have complete control over each spin and which reels to hold gives them true agency over the game, which is a key requirement for the retention of modern gamers.”

The latest release follows the recent launch of titles such as the mining-themed Drill That Gold, along with another country escape, Barn Festival, and Tic Tac Take, which was inspired by the old-school, pen and paper game. Each one of these popular online slots can be found among the multi-product content provider’s growing portfolio of more than 200 HTML5 titles.
