Pragmatic Play has enhanced its slots offering with its very first branded title, Peaky Blinders, which explores the grim streets of Birmingham with the Shelby family.
The 5-reel, 3-row, 20 paylines video slot was released in partnership with Endemol Shine, and in collaboration with UK based independent television production company, Caryn Mandabach Productions, the owner and producer of the Peaky Blinders brand.
“we are proud to release a game based on such an iconic series”
Based on the hugely popular British TV series of the same name, the medium/high volatility game features music and characters from the show, including Michael Gray, Polly Gray, Arthur Shelby, and Thomas Shelby, the patriarch of the Shelby Family and leader of the Birmingham criminal gang. These premiums pay 5x to 20x the stake for a full line, while low pays include 10 – A card symbols, and a line of five wild symbols is worth up to 20x. The wild appears on all reels and substitutes for any of the regular pay symbols to form a combination.
Players shooting for “big wins” should aim for either the “Shelby Betting Shop” or the “By Order Of The Peaky Blinders” modifiers.
Either of the two can land on any spin. When the former is triggered, all high pay character symbols are assigned a monetary amount, each of which is titled and paid out. If the latter feature is triggered, any win lines are paid out, after which a respin occurs, with all character symbols or wilds on screen transform into the same matching symbol for an additional payout.
Triggering both extra spins modes occurs when the Peaky Blinders bonus symbol lands on reels 1 and 3, before either one of the modifiers lands on reel 5. The modifier determines which extra spins mode the player receives. The modified features last for the duration of the bonus round.
In a company presser, Chief Commercial Officer for Pragmatic Play, Melissa Summerfield, said…
“Peaky Blinders marks our first branded title, in partnership with Endemol Shine, and we are proud to release a game based on such an iconic series.
“It has been very exciting developing content around such an established TV franchise, and we look forward to seeing how it is received by our fans across the globe. This is not one to miss!”
The new branded slot comes on the heels of the multi-product content provider’s debut in the Brazilian market via a collaboration deal with Curaçao-headquartered online gambling and entertainment company, Betmotion. The content agreement will see Pragmatic’s full portfolio go live with the leading Brazilian operator.
Fans can expect the provider to launch its next new title, Curse of the Werewolf Megaways, on September 3. The high volatility slot features mystery symbols, reel modifiers, and extra spins with symbol upgrades, along with a potential for wins of over 40,000x.
