Starting on June 13, the 50/50 Series is back at PokerStars offering players a set of affordable events with the same buy-in for each tournament. There are 50 events on the schedule, each offering $50 to enter. The budget festival offers events from Monday to Thursday, with several tournaments running each day.

Each event offers varying prize pools with a total of $2.5 million in prize money up for grabs. This is quite a large sum on offer considering the buy-in to every tournament is just $50. Players can choose to compete in any event based on the format or the guaranteed prize money.

Details of the 50/50 Series

Players will find the schedule of the 50/50 Series consists of no-limit hold’em events for the most part. The brand has sprinkled some Omaha options with Pot-Limit, No-Limit, and a few other formats.

The series begins with Event #1, the Opener, with $50,000 in guaranteed prize money. Stick around for Event #2 and you can compete in a progressive KO Mini Bounty Builder with a $150,000 prize pool. The first Monday also offers Event #3 Monday Special and Event #4 the Progressive KO Monday Cooler, each offering $80,000 and $60,000 in prize money.

The schedule continues through June 30 with four events Tuesday-Thursday and five on Monday. Each day offers something different such as progressive KO’s in various formats like Adrenaline or Hustle. The site is also offering Chubby events and Last Player Standing.

Earn a Seat Via Satellite

If you don’t want to pay the $50 buy-in to compete in the 50/50 Series, you have options. PokerStars has several satellites running 24/7 so players can earn a seat for as low as $2.20. The satellites are a great way to earn a spot in an event without paying the full buy-in.

PokerStars Approved in Ontario

It’s a busy week for the PokerStars brand. As it launches the 50/50 Series, the brand has also earned approval to launch online gaming services in Ontario. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission recently approved TSG Interactive Canada Inc., for iGaming, the subsidiary of Flutter.

PokerStars will soon be able to launch online poker, sports betting, and casino games in the province. There is only one step left for the company to complete before services can begin. It is expected that PokerStars will be live by the end of this month or July.
