Playtech will install more self-service betting terminals in Betfred shops as part of an extension to its partnership with the operator.

Horse and dog racing will be available to Betfred customers on terminals for the first time, with Playtech incorporating features such as an enhanced Betbuilder.

Shimon Akad, chief operating officer at Playtech, said expanding the capacity of the Betfred offering has been a “key pillar” of the companies’ work together.

Akad added that Playtech and Betfred’s partnership is aimed at “digitising the retail space and adapting to the changing retail customer demands.”

Mark Stebbings, group chief operating officer at Betfred, said: “The importance of betting terminals to our retail offer continues to increase, becoming an increasingly essential gaming component for our customers and, therefore, a crucial part of the future of our company.”
