Play’n GO has released its second new September slot, taking us deep into the waters of the Pacific with Octopus Treasures. Packed with features, the game comes on the back of a hugely successful week for the slot specialists, including the launch of the Golden Ticket sequel and their third straight win at the 2020 Starlet Awards.

Reminiscent of traditional land-based games, there is a lot going on is this 5-reel, 3-row video slot. It’s action-packed with a 96.25 percent RTP, 20 fixed paylines, and a max win of 5,000 times your stake.

“Octopus Treasure is packed with great features to keep players entertained for longer, and that’s what they want.”

Players use keys to unlock treasure chests with the help of a giant octopus that is omnipresent, with its four tentacles securing a transparent grid set at the bottom of the ocean near a sunken wooden ship.

Game symbols:

Symbols include spades, diamonds, clubs, and heart card suits for the low pays, while a gold crown with a dagger, a two-handled silver vase, a sack full of gold coins, and three clay pots comprise the high pays. There is also a coral-covered Wild symbol that substitutes for all symbols with the exception of the scatter.

Features:

When a key symbol lands on the third reel, on any spin, the octopus reaches around with its tentacles and unlocks the treasure chest situated on top of the reels. Tapping the chest opens it, awarding one of four reel modifiers, including Wild Coins, Gold Pile, Treasure Grab, and Wild Reels.

Key Respins activate when three pearl scatters land on reels 1, 3, and 5. Key symbols that appear on the reels are collected during this feature, with the total equal to the number of Treasure Spins awarded, from 5 to 10. During each of the Treasure Spins, one of the four bonus features is played, and for every key symbol that lands, an extra spin is added to the remaining ones.

Engaging content:

Sharing his thoughts on the game in a company press release, Martin Zettergren, Chief Product Officer for Play’n GO, said…

“It’s obviously great to be recognised with an award, especially for three years in a row! It shows we are continually creating engaging, high-quality content, and that’s our goal.

Octopus Treasure is another example of this. It’s packed with great features, is simple to play but has a lot going on to keep players entertained for longer, and that’s what they want.”

Hat trick:

As mentioned, the release of Octopus Treasures is on the back of the launch of Golden Ticket 2, sequel to the wildly popular original circus-themed version released in 2014, and the Växjö-headquartered provider’s third consecutive Mobile Supplier of the Year award at the 2020 Starlet Awards, which celebrate the best providers in the B2B supply chain.
