We understand that Phil Horne, CEO at SG Gaming, the UK division of Scientific Games, has left the company, although it has not been officially announced.

Horne, who was head of the company for four years, was previously managing director of the company, building up his career from a trainee betting shop manager with Gala Coral Group.

He was also managing director of The Global Draw – the premier supplier of fixed odds betting terminals – before it was amalgamated with Barcrest to form SG Gaming in 2012.

The group grew its FOBTs business in the UK dramatically, until legislation reduced the stakes and prizes on terminals in bookmakers’ shops dramatically.
