Sports betting in Ontario, Canada, does not extend to the Ultimate Fighting Championships, the popular TV sport, because of fears for its integrity.


Regulator AGCO (the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) has told gambling operators to stop accepting wagers on the sport. It may, it says, fail to comply with AGCPO’s betting integrity requirements.

Those requirements cover odds manipulation, match-fixing and other sports betting integrity issues. It says that UFC does not prohibit insiders from betting on its events and that could include the coaches, managers, handlers, athletic trainers and medical professionals
