In the Philippines and Universal Hotels and Resorts Incorporated has reportedly announced that it is to ramp up gaming operations within its Nustar Resort and Casino over the course of the next few months following the venue’s recent soft launch.

According to a report from Inside Asian Gaming, the Manila-headquartered operator premiered the north wing of the casino within its new Cebu development some two weeks ago and detailed that the full 226,000 sq ft space is eventually destined to be the largest gaming floor in central and southern Philippines. The source explained that this extensive area is to ultimately feature a selection of approximately 1,500 slots as well as up to 500 gaming tables offering a plethora of blackjack, poker and baccarat entertainment.

Postponed premiere:

Universal Hotels and Resorts Incorporated reportedly broke ground on the $517 million Nustar Resort and Casino in August of 2018 in hopes of being able to debut the finished 20-acre property complete with its trio of hotel towers in around three years’ time. However, this timetable was purportedly delayed owing to the subsequent appearance of the coronavirus pandemic although the eventual May 7 soft launch came just in time to take advantage of the Philippines’ official re-opening to international travelers.
