New CEO rolls sleeves up at Crown Perth

The first job for new CEO David Tsai is to gain back the casino licence for Crown Resorts’ Perth location in Western Australia.

The only casino in the state, Crown Perth, went through similar investigations – and outcomes – as its associate casinos under the Crown Resorts banner in the east of the country.

Tsai, as the new CEO, will oversee the action plan to put the venue back on course, in partnership with the independent monitor, Paul Steel.

The Perth Casino Royal Commission decided earlier this year that Crown was unfit to hold a casino licence in the state, but was given two years’ grace to get things back on track.

Tsai, formerly with MGM, began his new role this week.
