It was a great ICE show for Merkur Gaming, the company reports following the three-day gaming extravaganza in London.

The company had promised show-goers that it would provide a “big show” display and it certainly delivered with an imposing stand dominated by a staircase leading to a hospitality lounge on the first floor.

It was the most significant trade show of the year, said the company. It reasserted the “Big” adjective for its products and display with a range of new cabinets led by the Avantgarde Max. The original Avantgarde is well known globally, especially in Latin America and the company has had requests for a larger and more VIP version. The Max is the result, with two full HD monitors each of 32ins and is further supplemented by the Avantgarde Max Trio, with three monitors.

The cabinet’s new monitors set new technical standards, allowing players to fully immerse themselves deeper than ever before in the game play. It has speakers at console height to add to the experience thanks to their transmission angle.

The company’s 2020 motto is “opposites attract’, so the Allegro Trio is the ideal counterpart for the Avantgarde Max. The Allegro Trio is for venues where space is at a premium, but it still has elegant lines and powerful technology. It has 9mm deep screens that are frameless creating a seamless transition between the cabinet’s trip 27ins monitors.

Top cabinets, top games. There were 140 titles on display as standalone or as part of a mix for multigames. The emphasis was to add extra value for operators and players through increased gaming entertainment achieved by new jackpot and bonus feature game titles.

The new progressive, Treasure Link is just an example. It has mini bonus, midi bonus, maxi stand-alone progressive and mega-linked progressive jackpots plus five new games, Land of Charms, Amulet of the Pharaoh and the Asian-themed Immortal Emperor, Immortal Princess and Boazang. Plus Jewels of the Nile, Striking Fortunes and the Big Deal Wheel all add high value, multi-thousand, top jackpot awards.

Also on display was GeWeTe, the cash handling subsidiary with gaming solutions provider Edict e-Gaming, Blueprint Gaming from the UK, Merkur Dosniha from Spain, Merkur Gaming Netherlands and Euro Payment Group.

At the close of the show, Athanasios Isaakidis (pictured), chief executive international, said: “This year’s ICE has really been a big success for all of Merkur Gaming. It has been a lot of fun and a lot of very hard work from the entire team. I think, for everyone, it could be designated a ‘3E’ show: engaging, entertainment and exhausting!”
