Nevada sets casino reopening rules

No date has yet been set for the reopening of Nevada casinos, but the US state’s Gaming Control Board has issued a list of procedures for the venues in its jurisdiction, says Fantini’s Gaming Report.

The six-page document demands notification of proposed reopening dates and times and which parts of properties will be opened, a schedule for replenishing funds to all areas of venues, arrangements to extend expiration dates on payout receipts or vouchers that may have expired during the shutdown and a request for quarterly and semi-annual filing deadlines for 30 days following the state governor authorising the reopening.

The governor, Steve Sisolak, has already gone on record this week as stating that he will not allow reopening of the economy until there is a sustainable decrease in the incidence of the pandemic.
